1945 – 1947 Apprentice to renowned portraitist Leo Arthur Robitscheck

1948 – 1950 Military correspondent (photographer) In the Israeli army

1951 – 1952 School of Modern Photography, New York. Graduate with distinction as top student.

1952 – 1958 Director of the Photography Department and staff member of the Jewish Agency's Publicity and Information Department.

1959 – Freelancer – press, photo journalism, archeology, museum and commercial photography.

1961 – Special assignment as head photographer to the Judean Desert excavation, Head of expedition prof. Y. Yadin.

1978 -1983 Head of the Photography Department of the Hadassah Community College in Jerusalem

1984 - Freelancer
